Content Profiles

Content profiles are the way to create, manage, and store structured data on Uniweb. There are a variety of options available to suit your content needs.

Collaborating on a content profile

  1. Navigate to the content profile you want to collaborate on

  2. Click Access in the top right corner.

  3. Enter the email address of the person you wish to invite.

  4. Specify the access level you’d like to grant

  5. Click Save.

Sharing a content profile

You can easily share any content profile as a standalone webpage easily.

  1. Navigate to the content profile you want to share online.

  2. Click Public URL in the top right corner.

  3. Optional: Change the URL of the profile (one will be automatically generated based on the title of the profile)

  4. Click Share online.

  5. Copy the link or use one of the social media buttons to share your content.

Adding a content profile to a website

Adding a content profile is an easy way to make it discoverable on a website. While there are many other ways to have content appear on a website, this is an easy, one off way to add a profile:

  1. Navigate to the content profile you want to add to a website.

  2. Click Add to site.

  3. Select the website or websites you want to add the profile to

  4. Click Add.

If you want to add multiple content profiles to a site at once, check out this guide on dynamic content and using smart folders.

Linking Content Profiles Together

Content profiles can also be linked together which creates a relationship between the two. For example, a member can be linked to a group, making them a member of that group.

  1. Navigate to the profile you want to connect to another profile

  2. At the top right of Uniweb, click Connect.

  3. Use the popup menu to find the profile(s) you wish to connect with.

  4. Click Save.

In order to connect two profiles together, an administrator or the profile owner must approve of the connection. Until an administrator has approved the connection you will see a pending connection. If you are the owner or administrator of both profiles, the connection will be made automatically.

From one of the connected profiles

You can remove links directly from one of the connected profiles. If you’re already working in the content profile, this may be the quicker way to remove a link.

  1. Navigate to one of the linked profiles.

  2. Click on the tab for the type of content you want to unlink.

  3. Click the Pencil icon.

  4. Click the X to remove the desired content from the right side of the popup.

  5. Click Save.

From the Content Manager

If you want to remove many links from a content profile, use this method.

  1. Navigate to the content manager. In the left panel, select the type of content that matches one of the linked profiles you want to configure.

  2. Locate one of the content profiles you want to unlink.

  3. Hover over it so the three dots appear on the far right side.

  4. Click on the three dots.

  5. Select Connect.

  6. Navigate through the popup menu to find the content you want to unlink. Note: the tabs at the top of the popup show the number of connected content profiles for each type of content.

  7. Click the link icon next to the content profile you want to unlink.

  8. Click Save.
