Site Components

Site components allow you to build your website using reusable, customizable blocks that adapt to your content. Each section of a website page uses a component to define the layout of your content.

Adding a section/component

1. Navigate to the page where you want to add a new section

2. In the right panel of the website editor, click

   next to the page sections header.

3. Select the component from the popup menu.

4. Select a starting preset.

5. Start writing your content.

Changing a section/component

Option 1: Through preview window

This option is the best to see previews of all available sections and lets you choose a preset during your selection

1. Click the

   icon in the website editor toolbar.

2. In the left panel, click Change

   .

3. Select your desired component to use.

4. Select a preset for the new component.

5. Preview your changes.

Option 2: Through the info menu

1. Click the

   icon in the website editor toolbar.

2. Click on the section name to open a drop-down menu of all components and select the one you want to use.

3. Click Select to the right of the section name.

Option 3: In the website editor

This option is the quickest way to switch sections if you know your Site Foundation and available options well.

1. Click the section name in the website editor toolbar.

2. Select your desired section from the drop-down menu.

Deleting a Site Section

1. Navigate to the page with the section you want to delete.

2. Hover over the section you want to delete in the right side panel.

3. Click the

   that appear to the right of the section name.

4. Click Delete.

5. Click Delete in the confirmation popup.

Rearranging Sections

Moving sections on the same page

1. Navigate to the page with the section you want to move

2. In the right side panel, locate the section you want to move

3. Click and drag it to your desired location on the page. You will see a blue line indicating where the section will go or you will see a blue box around a section if it will become a nested section.

Moving sections to a different page

1. Navigate to the page with the section you want to move

2. In the right side panel, locate the section you want to move

3. Hover over it and click

   that appear to the right of the section name.

4. Select Copy. Note: If you want to copy a section with subsections, click Copy all.

5. Navigate to the page where you want your section to be located

6. Hover over a section name in the right side panel.

7. Click

   that appear to the right of the section name.

8. Click Paste after. Note: you can select Paste into if you want to use your selected section as the parent for your copied section.
