Content Profiles

Personal Profile

Your personal profile is the main hub for all your information on Uniweb. You can use it for showing biographic information as well as a space to connect any other content on Uniweb to yourself, though many of these connections are made automatically.

Editing Personal Profile Content

Edit Profile Banner

  1. Navigate to your personal profile.

  2. At the top right of the placeholder banner, or your existing banner, click the camera icon.

  3. Click Add photo

  4. Select the photo from your computer

  5. Click Save once you see your picture uploaded. Optionally, you can click edit to adjust the crop or add simple adjustments to your image.

Edit Profile Avatar (Profile Picture)

  1. Navigate to your personal profile

  2. Click on your current avatar or the placeholder avatar

  3. Click Add photo

  4. Select the photo from your computer

  5. Click Save once you see your picture uploaded. Optionally, you can click edit to adjust the crop or add simple adjustments to your image.

Edit Basic Information

Basic Information includes your name, position, contact information, and other things like that. To edit your basic information:

  1. Navigate to your personal profile

  2. Click on the pencil icon to the right of your profile content, just underneath your profile banner.

  3. Edit the information necessary

  4. Click Save.

If you are part of an organizational Uniweb, you may not have access to changing some of the information in your profile. If something is incorrect, please contact your organization's administrator.

Editing Other Profile Information

There are many fields in your profile that allow you to add various information to expand your personal profile. Editing them all follows a similar process:

  1. Navigate to your personal profile

  2. Scroll to the section you want to edit

  3. Click the plus or the pencil to the right of the section title. A plus in the section means you can add more than one subsection within that section, for example: Alternative contact information, you can add multiple phone numbers, like Work and Mobile. A pencil means that you can only have one entry in that section, say for example, your Biography.

  4. Edit or add content as necessary

  5. Click Save.

Configuring Linked Profiles

Linked profiles appear on your personal profile because you have a relationship with them. For example, groups you belong to or articles you write. These have their own tabs in the profile, just underneath the basic information section of your profile. They also appear at the end of your personal profile content. These sections will show cards for the linked profiles, if there are any of that type.

Connect content to your personal profile

  1. Navigate to your personal profile

  2. Click the tab for the type of content you want to connect. You may need to click More at the very right of the tab bar to see other content types.

  3. Click the pencil icon at the top right of the content section. It will be just to the right of the filters.

  4. Select the content you want to connect from the list on the left hand side of the popup. Once selected it will appear in the right hand side list. The selection on the right hand side are the ones that will be shown on your profile.

  5. Click Save once your selection is complete.

Remove connected content from your personal profile

  1. Navigate to your personal profile

  2. Click the tab for the type of content you want to remove. You may need to click More at the very right of the tab bar to see other content types.

  3. Hover over the card of the content you want to remove

  4. Click the trash can that appears

  5. Click Delete in the confirmation popup.

If you remove a connection and want to reconnect it later, you'll need approval from the owner or administrator of that content.
